How to implement a video media player

Hi, I need to implement on MX8M a multimedia player that allow choosing videos froma folder play pause rewind fast forward. Does embedded wizard suitable for that? Should I use Embedded linux or debian. Regards, Raz

Hi nitzanraz,

yes, Embedded Wizard is suitable for that. I think you should use the Yocto project provided by NXP as a basis (i.MX Yocto Project User's Guide).
Based on this NXP Yocto project we are providing a build environment that contains all to build a Embedded Wizard GUI application and to run it on an NXP iMX8M platform. 
Please note, that our current iMX8 build environment was verified with Yocto revision LF6.1.36_2.1.0 (latest release is currently LF6.6.52_2.2.0).

Based on this Embedded Wizard build environment we can also provide some Add-On package, that demonstrates how to embed video playback into a Embedded Wizard GUI based on GStreamer.
