Question

Using iMX_RT1052 in RGB565. It appears that no data for Red is ever put on the bus.

are you talking about the MIMXRT1050-EVKB evaluation board or do you want to bring-up your custom specific hardware?

Maybe, there is a missing initialization of the port pins used for red or an additional intialization / usage of the same port pins for another purpose (overlapping usage)...

I don't believe so.  That was the first place I looked.  It appears be configured correctly.  I am stumped.
