As soon as you want to create GUI applications for the IMXRT 1050 EVKB, we highly recommend to follow the instructions step by step that you will find within our article 'Getting Started with i.MX RT 1050'. The section Using NXP MCUXpresso IDE explains how to build a GUI application with this toolchain.
