Place some touch-based input areas on a touch-sensitive LCD

Question

Hi, I'd like to place some touch-based input areas on a touch-sensitive LCD.
It allows writing digit or word in these touch-based input areas, in further, it needs to get the RGB data of these areas, as I need to recognize the inputted digit or word by processing the RGB data.
Can you tell me which widget should I select to make it?
Any hints will be appreciated.

I suppose you are looking for a way to stroke lines by touching on the screen?
