in Platform Packages by
Hi, EW Team:

Recently I have upgraded my RT1170 VGLite platform package from EW 11 to 13. In its platform package, VGLite was also upgraded from version 0x201000 to 0x03000f. Though some new functionalities were added to new VGLite, it seems that EW13 does not make use of them. I find that new VGLite consumes more RAM as its heap, so I'd like to reserve old VGLite with EW13.

Do you think it's all right with this decision?

    Thank you.

Best regards

Stephen

Hello Stephen,

the updated version of VGLite was used, because a new SDK was released from NXP. Each time we are preparing a release of Embedded Wizard, we are updating to the latest SDKs of the semiconductor manufacturer in order to get all the latest bugfixes.

We do not recommend such a downgrade. Of course, you can test it and use it.

Best regards,

Manfred.
