to make sure we're not talking about two different things, you mean undocked (floating) Log window as described in the section Undock the Log window?
If yes, have you tried the steps described in this section to dock again the window?
If no steps from the above section do help, I would recommend to delete the workspace settings. For this purpose:
1. Exit Embedded Wizard Studio.
2. Open Windows Registry Editor. Since you are working on Linux you would need to start the WINE own Registry Editor In the Terminal window by executing the command wine regedit:
3. In the Registry Editor navigate to following key. Note the right version of Embedded Wizard Studio you are using. In the following screenshot I'm using version 12:
4. Delete the key with the found version (e.g. 12).
5. Start Embedded Wizard Studio again.
